Department Of Geriatric Care (CGC)

The Institute of Natural & Applied Science at VGI, in collaboration with industry partner Virohan, offers the Certificate in Geriatric Care (CGC), a 1-year certificate program. The program prepares skilled geriatric care professionals who support the health, wellbeing, and daily care of elderly patients. Graduates learn elderly care, mobility support, rehabilitation assistance, patient monitoring, and age-related healthcare through skill training and industry exposure, while also preparing for career opportunities in Japan through Japanese language training and placement support.

The Certificate in Geriatric Care (CGC) is a one-year program offered by Vikrant Group of Institutions in collaboration with industry partner Virohan. The program combines six months of academic learning with a six-month industry internship. You'll build the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence required to care for elderly patients, support rehabilitation and mobility, assist with daily living, and promote healthy aging across hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and senior care facilities in India and prepare for career opportunities in Japan.

Our industry-aligned curriculum is designed by experts to match the evolving needs of employers and the healthcare industry. The program helps you build practical skills in elderly care, rehabilitation support, mobility assistance, patient monitoring, infection control, and age-related healthcare through interactive classroom learning, simulation-based training, and industry exposure. Additionally, you'll receive Japanese language training along with support for mandatory examinations, interviews, visa documentation, and placement opportunities in Japan. Virohan's network also provides internship and employment support across 2,000+ healthcare employers in India.
